Churchs

   Before departure to the center, we had a little lesson of the art used in the churches of Sao Jose Do Rio Preto. The first Church visited was the Church of "Redentora". The church has wooden sculptures made by hand, all over 2m tall and well made, the Church also has painting frames in a separate room for visit. The second Church visited was the "Basílica", this church has traits in the paintings of very characteristic, for mixing many types of art.And the third and last was the Orthodox Church, this Church is simpler compared to the others, but still has a very long tradition in classical paintings.

Our Lives Before...

   Our lives before the economic crisis that affected Brazil, was relatively good. Before the crisis, We could buy a salty for 2 reias today We didn't buy or a Mentos with that money. Today, our parents have to spend much less with "goodies" because of the crisis. Before the crisis our parents had money "left over" and we could travel without worrying about the expenses, nowadays, travel only once a year. Before the crisis our father was only 5 hours a day, today they work 8. But We will still live many crises in life, and maybe next. We in the place of our parents ...

TED TALK

Gill Hicks is a woman who survivor of the London terrorist bombings on July 7 , 2005 , and she shares her story of the events of that day in a Ted Talk.
  At the beginning of her Ted Talk, Gill said that she never imagined that a terrorist of 19 years, carrying a bomb, could teach she a lesson, "you can never assume anything about someone  , If you don't know the people".
  Gill says that, when she entering the subway, she saw no one, even though many people were there, she saw the terrorist who ran his hand on the detonator, and looked one by one, and even without knowing who it was those people, he went on to dehumanizes them and consider them the enemy.
  After the terrorist trigger the detonator, Gil account that plunged into a deep darkness, and then people began to help the others, saying their names and if they were good or not ...
  Fortunately Gill was saved and survived, then during his Ted, she wanted to get the message that, Is it needs to happen a tragedy or disaster, to feel directly connected as human beings?!!

Biography

Biography of Luan - The young promise of our city.

  Luan Guilherme de Jesus Vieira (born 27 March 1993), simply known as Luan, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Grêmio.
  
  Luan was born in São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo. After starting it out at futsal and playing for amateur clubs in his native state, he joined Tanabi in 2012, initially to appear in the year's “Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão”.

  Luan scored two goals in nine appearances for Tanabi, He subsequently represented his hometown club América-SP in 2013 “Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior”, while still owned by Tanabi. On 8 February 2013 Luan joined Catanduvense until the end of the year.

   
  Shortly after making his debut for Catanduvense, Luan moved to Grêmio and returned to youth football, he later had 50% of his federative rights bought for just R$ 300.000. He was promoted to the first team in December 2013 , And in August 2016, Luan won the Olympic Gold medal.

Painting Description








The Last Supper ( Leonardo da Vinci)

  It is a Leonardo da Vinci's work for the church of his patron , the Duke Lodovico Sforza . It is the scene of the Last Supper of Jesus with the apostles , before being arrested and crucified as the Bible describes . It is one of the largest known and prized possessions of the world.
  The work is in the convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy that the Duke had built for , among other things, serve as a place to bury their relatives.
  This painting , which is based on John 13:21 , Jesus announces to the twelve apostles that someone among them would betray him . This painting , in the Gospel story , is considered the most dramatic of all.

  In the center, Christ is depicted with open arms, the apostles are grouped into four groups of three, leaving relatively isolated Christ at the center. The characters of the work are: Bartholomew, James the Less, Andrew, Judas Iscariot, Peter, John, Thomas, James the Greater and Philip, Matthew, Jude, and Simon.
